Re: 2044 2046 or Janome
For over 30 years now I have been sewing on an old Universal workhorse that's all metal. Goes out of time every once in a great while but that's only because I sewed too fast over something I shouldn't be sewing on anyway. I would never part with it but last year I decided I needed to upgrade. I wanted some decorative stitches and a few other features. So I get a Janome Memory Craft 3500 and there aren't enough words to describe how much I dislike that machine. Its a toy, all plastic, jumps around the table if I sew fast, thread spool goes flying, skips stitches, and I can't sew a straight line on that thing for love or money, what a mess! I packed it up and don't plan on even looking at it again unless I sell it. A few months ago I got a Pfaff 1471 on eBay and since I set it up I have yet to put the lid on it. I just can't get enough of this great 2nd workhorse!
