Re: What brands of thread? I have use quite a few brands of rayon embroidery threads: Alcazar, Maderia, Sulky, Coats & Clark, Robison Anton - they all work equally well. Got a bunch of ARC polyester,embroidery thread, 1000M cones, and I am very pleased with that - it has the shine of rayon and the washability of poly. ARC has lots of different shades of colors (288). Best price is craftersEbazzar. I haven't really found an embroidery thread yet that my Pfaff or Ellageo doesn't do well with. As with any thread, you might hit a spot where it shreds, just pull off a few yards and go right back with that spool with no problem. For regular sewing I mostly use Mettler metrosene plus (because that's the one my dealer carries), or Coats from the fabric stores. |
