Re: 2044 2046 or Janome I just bought the Janome Memory Craft 6500. The Memory Craft 4800 is also a great machine. Very smooth with lots of features. According to consumers report Janome is the least likely of all machines to visit the repair shop. I decided on the 6500 because I wanted the larger bed. It does not have the free arm as does the 4800 but I have two other machines that have that feature should I need it. Mainly I do window treatments so on my work horse machine I never need a free arm. Of the Pfaff models the 2044 would be the better choice. Some problems have been discussed on this board regarding the 2046. My local dealer quoted me 1999.00 on the 2046 a week or two ago before I bought the Janome. HTH![]() |
